Mission Statement:

The Long Island Partnership for After School Education (LIPASE), generously funded by the Amy and Horace Hagedorn Foundation, is a peer network of providers of out-of-school time (OST) services, including afterschool and summer programs.

LIPASE aims to:

  • Enhance program quality through staff development, shared resource materials/information, and networking opportunities
  • Increase the visibility and public support for out-of-school-time programs
  • Encourage and strengthen partnerships between schools and community-based organizations

LIPASE will accomplish this by providing:

  • Professional development workshops for OST providers
  • Conferences and training institutes offered in partnership with local and regional youth-serving networks
  • Networking opportunities for local and regional agencies and individuals
  • Advocacy for Long Island's afterschool field and underserved youth
